Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Shadow Dial ("the Service"), operated at shadow-dial.online. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. This is a general-purpose agreement and not a substitute for legal advice — if you have questions about how it applies to your business, consult a lawyer.
1. What Shadow Dial does
Shadow Dial lets you connect a phone number and answer incoming calls through a web dashboard instead of speaking out loud: the caller's speech is transcribed to text, and text you type is spoken back into the call by a synthesized voice. Businesses can additionally enable an AI assistant that answers, holds conversations, and books appointments automatically. Calls are billed per minute using credits, either purchased individually or bundled into a monthly plan.
2. Not for emergencies
Shadow Dial is not a replacement for emergency calling services. Do not rely on it to reach 911, 988, or any other emergency service — synthesized voice, transcription, and AI-driven conversation are not guaranteed to be accurate or available when you need them most.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information when signing up and connecting a phone number, and you must be legally permitted to use the phone number you connect.
4. Call recording and transcription
Using Shadow Dial means every call you answer through it is transcribed, and calls handled by the AI assistant are recorded and processed to generate a summary. Laws about recording and transcribing phone calls — including whether the other party must be notified or must consent — vary by jurisdiction and are your responsibility to understand and comply with, both for calls you place and calls you receive. Where required by law, you must inform callers that the call may be recorded or transcribed.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Shadow Dial for unsolicited robocalling, spam, harassment, impersonation, fraud, or any illegal purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this, misuse the AI assistant, or abuse the underlying telephony, transcription, or voice-synthesis services in a way that risks those services being restricted for other users.
6. AI-generated content
Replies spoken by the AI assistant, appointment bookings it makes, and call summaries it generates are produced by third-party AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Review AI-booked appointments and call summaries before relying on them, particularly for anything time-sensitive or high-stakes.
7. Billing
Credits are purchased as one-time, non-refundable top-ups except where required by law or where Shadow Dial was materially unable to deliver the service you paid for. Monthly plans renew automatically until canceled and are billed in advance; canceling stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period. We reserve the right to change prices with notice through the Service or by email.
8. Service availability
Shadow Dial depends on third-party telephony, speech, and AI providers. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability and aren't liable for call failures, missed calls, or transcription errors caused by those providers or by your own network or device.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shadow Dial is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed calls, missed appointments, or business losses.
10. Termination
You can stop using Shadow Dial and cancel any plan at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
